The hurricane Ike hit Texas on Saturday, hitting the city of Galveston with thousand tons of water, flooding coastal towns and leaving a lot damage across metropolitan Houston.
With wind coming at 100 miles per hour, the 600-mile-wide Category 2 hurricane peeled sheets of steel off high buildings here and there, smashing and bus shelters and blew out windows, sending shattering glass across the nation’s fourth-largest city.
